To get back at him Hank locks Merlin in jail, and is going to blow up his castle. Hank tells Clarence his plan, and Clarence decides to help him. They fill the tower with gun powder, and wait for a thunderstorm. When the storm does finally come, Merlin tries casting spells that will overcome Hanks, but the lightening strikes, and blows up the tower. Finally, everyone is convinced that Hank is magical. Hank also made a telephone system, but only the people that he wanted to know about it did. He used this for to his advantage when he has to call for help. My favorite thing though, was when the Nobles were at the feast and they were betting on dog fights. They were rude, obnoxious, and dirty. But the skill required to capture that light in ways that celebrates its beauty and mystery has been mastered as fully by Ansel Adams as by almost any other twentieth-century photographer. And it seems highly appropriate that the name of the exhibition contains the words FIAT LUX: let there be light, As a case in point we may contemplate the beautiful fragment of Bristlecone Pine Wood at the White Mountain High Altitude Station. Here the stark light-dark-light contrasts reveal Adams at his best. While the sunset's light accentuates the shapes of the wood at its edges, so that it glows with luminescence, the darker tonalities remind us that this fragment is as much dead as it is alive, and thus reminds us of our own mortality. For me this image also suggests that we pay greater attention to the cultivation and preservation of nature, its delicate balances, which, when neglected, lead to devastation, as is occurring in the rain forests of Brazil. Even in juxtaposition with death, however, this lovely Adams image speaks of the glory of life. I don't know of a more spectacular view than the one from the top of the Berkeley hills across the San Francisco Bay toward the city, and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. The silent serenity of this photograph contrasts markedly with the devastation of recent events. As beautiful as this image is we also know that many areas of the greater area of the San Francisco Bay are polluted. In a photograph taken from the Lick Observatory the scientific facility is not visible, but we still, with the knowledge of the vantage point from which it was taken, sense the precarious balances of nature and technology, which so universally threaten the existence of both, including threats to outer space, reminding us to heed the ever-increasing warnings of pollution. The misty delicacy which characterizes this photograph of rolling hills, outlined with light, and trees, which are threatened by drought, makes us wonder how long these species will remain. Whether young or old, located in a city, or in more remote environs, whether researching the fruits of the earth or the mysteries of outer space, these never-before-exhibited images provide a wealth of visual information about the varieties and richnesses of our world.

Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge Manliness, Hostility and Aggression are all important in "A view from the bridge" where Eddie Carbone plays the main character he is a longshoreman working on the Brooklyn docks in New York. He tries to keep his status as "the man" in his household. He is very hostile towards Rodolfo because he thinks he is a homosexual. Marco knows Eddie feels this way about Rodolfo and is unhappy that Eddie feels this way about a member of his family. This creates aggression from Marco throughout the play and results in various conflicts between himself and Eddie in which Marco demonstrates his masculinity over Eddie this makes Eddie feel threatened and insecure. Eddie has many different things that he considers to be manly e.g. "to be a breadwinner". He feels that Rodolfo does not conform to his idea of masculinity because of the way he cooks, cleans, sings and makes dresses. Which at the time of the play would not be considered to be things done by a man. Eddie also has strong views about the way that Catherine behaves. He shows this by criticizing the way she dresses and the way she behaves when he says "your walkin wavy" and "you're still a baby". He feels like she is still his little girl and he is unhappy that she is growing up so quickly. He is also unhappy with her job because of the neighbourhood it is in and he thinks she should stay at school for longer. I think he disapproves of this not because of the neighbourhood, or the fact she should still be at school, but because he thinks she is still a baby and he should still be looking after her when she is perfectly capable of doing it herself. It is because every little detail needed to be shown to reveal the authenticity of the play and to give it a feeling of what it was actually like to be there. When we acted our scene from the play it was difficult to keep up with all the different stage directions but once we practiced it became easier and it made the scene look much more realistic.

The IRR of the Merseyside project (24.3%) is 5 percentage points higher than that of Rotterdam project (17.3%). Payback. Based on the cumulative free cash flow calculated, the payback period of Merseyside (3.8 years) is four years less than that of the Rotterdam projects (7.9 years), which is a big difference for a 15-year project. That is to say, once the senior management choose the Rotterdam project and the new technology turns out to be less than satisfactory, all the investments are wasted. Moreover, it would be hard to sell the purchase option of a pipeline and its right-of-way if the plan didn’t work out due to the strong objection from some senior executives. 3) It would be harder for Victoria Chemicals to justify to investors its investment in Rotterdam project than in Merseyside project. Rotterdam project is dependent on a technology with unforeseeable future and propylene supply that are subject to vary over time. These factors are difficult to quantify and for investors, who have already cast doubt on the company’s financial performance due to the corporate raider Sir David Benjamin, these can exacerbate their unsecure feeling towards the company and thus worsen the projected EPS. 4) Assume the Rotterdam project can achieve all the predicted financial goals and benefit both plants, there’s no reason that the new control technology has to be installed now. O the contrary, Merseyside project is comparatively simpler for execution and the effects of it can be seen sooner (only a 1.5 months downtime for construction is needed versus 12 months downtime required by Rotterdam project). Given the facts mentioned, why not choose Merseyside project now and wait for two years to see how the market develops and decide whether to install the new control technology that might be more mature and stable at that time? Some may argue that the Merseyside project is too conservative and might jeopardize Victoria Chemicals’ chance to become the pioneer in using advanced process control technology, however, based on aforementioned  analysis, I believe the Merseyside project will be the right choice at this timing but the flexibility of adding the technology in the future should be retained.

The African Slave Trade was first exploited for sugar plantations in the Caribbean, and eventually reached the southern coasts of America. The Portuguese showed the English how to raise sugar and introduced them to slavery on a large scale and for a time dominated the exportation and marketing of the crop. The African natives were of all ages and sexes. Women usually worked in the homes cooking and cleaning, while men were sent out into the plantations to farm. Young girls would usually help in the house also and young boys would help in the farm by bailing hay and loading wagons with crops. They were shipped from Africa by the Europeans, which quickly became known as "The Triangular Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade".
